Many people define culture in many different ways. For me, culture is a product of a previous generation which can be developed by the next generation. It has been renewed over and over again to suit people's way of lives. For example, Thai language, it has been adjusted many times since it was created. Some pronouns have been changed because they were considered as an impolite word nowadays. However, although there are some changes in culture, people still preserve "a root" of the culture because it is like a heritage from their ancestors.
I guess what you are talking about is pretty same as mine. Especially, I really agree with that "IT HAS BEEN RENEWED OVER AND OVER AGAIN TO SUIT PEOPLE'S WAY OF LIVES". All they have done is the best way to live in there.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your definition of culture. But i think it should also include the definition of "product".
ReplyDeleteExcellent job!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess this point talks about the evolution process of culture over the years
ReplyDeleteFa, your comments are profound as well. It seems that each one of you has done an excellent job of defining culture. Each one a bit different from the other.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that developing the definition of product might make this thought even richer!
