Next, when we had to work together as one group, I could see different kinds of people in the group which was helpful for us. Everybody helped solving the problem together; as a doer, thinker, or both. This taught me that we cannot succeed without helps from the others.
The most difficult and chaotic activity was the spider web. This made me think about what is leadership. In my opinion, the leader is not necessary to be the one who speak the most, but he or she suppose to be the one who can solve the problem wisely; like this proverb, "Speech is silver, silence is golden."
I believe that many countries also have this kind of activity but maybe a little bit different. In Thailand, we can find this kind of activity only in a camp which gather many people together to learn certain thing including leadership, for example, English Camp, Pre-Graduation Camp, Senior Students Camp, etc. It is rarely to find people doing this kind of activity just for fun in any places in Thailand.
This activity has given me a worthwhile experience. As individual, I have learned about how to work with many people to reach for the same goal together. As a class, it made us knew each other better and felt closer.
Next time I hope that I can try full ropes course!
The spider web was really the most chaotic but the most funny game. I really loved it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased to read about your thoughts on the ropes course. As a leader remember some of these things you have learned and experienced.
ReplyDeleteI really like the quote posted by you. The spider web was the most difficult but also fun, but the last one was also little tricky.
ReplyDeleteI hope next rope course too, with you, with our team.
