Ropes Course

The experience at the ropes course was awesome. I have learned a lot from this activity. First, we got into a partner and played the game which was about communication. I have learned that communication is important; this is why we have to learn how to speak clearly and effectively. Moreover, I have learned that working as a team relies on trust and understanding, for example, creating a set of codes to command a partner. A person who was a tank had to trust what the commander said and also understood all the codes clearly.

Next, when we had to work together as one group, I could see different kinds of people in the group which was helpful for us. Everybody helped solving the problem together; as a doer, thinker, or both. This taught me that we cannot succeed without helps from the others.

The most difficult and chaotic activity was the spider web. This made me think about what is leadership. In my opinion, the leader is not necessary to be the one who speak the most, but he or she suppose to be the one who can solve the problem wisely; like this proverb, "Speech is silver, silence is golden."

I believe that many countries also have this kind of activity but maybe a little bit different. In Thailand, we can find this kind of activity only in a camp which gather many people together to learn certain thing including leadership, for example, English Camp, Pre-Graduation Camp, Senior Students Camp, etc. It is rarely to find people doing this kind of activity just for fun in any places in Thailand.

This activity has given me a worthwhile experience. As individual, I have learned about how to work with many people to reach for the same goal together. As a class, it made us knew each other better and felt closer.

Next time I hope that I can try full ropes course!

American Football: Spirit of American

If someone ask me about this sport, I will tell them that it is a spirit of an American. It is the game that gather people from different ages, sexes, professions, and even different preferences in the same place. Those people come to cheer their team up with a strong believe of winning. American Football is a game that needs a good teamwork and also a good leader called quarterback because this person is the one who decide how their team is going to play. It required not only a powerful team but also a well-organized team. Moreover, each point seems so difficult to get, so it is important. I think each end of the field is like their goal and the opponent is like an obstacle which obstruct them from the goal. It is the game that demonstrate a life; we cannot reach the goal only by ourselves, we also needs a support from our friends and sometimes our leaders. I think this is why Americans love this game.
